When Do U Know When To Let Go?

Hey Dolls,

This summer has been a world wind for me professionally, mentally, and most importantly emotionally. The question that has been plaguing me for some time now is when do I know when its time to let go? When you love someone that you have history with but they've wronged you in so many ways how can you still call that love. I used to think that love was this genuine emotional connection with someone but shouldn't that be reciprocated.? Shouldn't that person accept all your flaws, laugh at your corny jokes, nurse you to health, give a shoulder to cry on, lend a ear for listening. There is always that someone who will forever have a piece of your heart. Its that person who you feel you can share EVERYTHING WITH! Whether it may be ugly truths or beautiful lies, at least they are shared. There for you in your time of need; happy or sad. That person you completely let in. And if you are a guarded person with your heart once you let that rare person in why is it so hard to let them go. If at some point its not causing you anything but pain why hold on? Is it the hope of them changing? Sad but very true how we women are so damn forgiving. Nonetheless, the fact of the matter is you can't change a man into being the man you want him to be. It won't work so don't try! Its more worth it to let him go and work on being the man he wants to become. I used to be a firm believer of that old saying, If something is worth having let it go and if it comes back then its meant to be". I'm not too sure if I believe that anymore.

As I embark on this phase in my life where all I can think of is that I'm 3 years from 30 and not even close to where I planned to be. But then I thought you can't plan love, just let it happen. So I'm not going to settle to fit some picture perfect life I thought I might have by now. I'm going to live my life to the fullest and let my enchanted love find me.

How do you all know when its time to let go?

Miami Just Cause

Hey Boo's

I'm back from Miami and I had a great time. It was perfect timing because I've been dealing with a lot lately. Nothing takes stress away better then a little weekend getaway with the girls laying out on the beach enjoying frozen cocktails. We arrived at 2AM Friday morning and went right to eat. I can say this Miami is such a beautiful city at night. I met some great people, Monica and Shante, you guys are awesome. I can't forget Ryan who was in love with my friend Eve and just had to create a dance floor with her in Wet Willies. Honey who hooked us up with some nightlife activities. We ran into him everywhere, LOL. Last but not least Erica and Carrie from Dash Miami. Those girls are so funny. If you're ever in Miami you have to check out the Dash store. So many great stories but I'll just let the pictures talk.

Tell me some of your fun memories from a girls weekend getaway?

Summer is Officially Here!

Hey Boo's

Saturday I attended the Give & Go 10th Annual and Final BBQ at Pelham Bay Park in the Bronx. You know what they say, its not officially summertime until you go to a fab bbq. There were so many people there that I had not seen in so long. I even saw some people I was not expecting to see. Me and my friends had such a good time and we weren't even really inside the bbq. Its like we made our own fun drawing people out to our area. LOL! I had to thank Dizco for putting on a Fab BBQ. Too bad this was the last one.

What's the best BBQ you been to this summer so far?

Dinner at BlockHeads

Hey Boo's

Don't you just love those friends that won't allow you to wallow on sadness? Well I was pretty sad Friday and my friend Anna Banana suggested I meet up with her and some her friends at this Mexican restaurant called BlockHeads in the city. That was the best thing I could have done. I had an amazing time. I met so many new girlfriends and the margaritas were cheap and so was the food. We were so loud everyone who sat at the table next to us left within 20 minutes. Sorry blame it on the $3 frozen drinks! Anyway a night of laughter and good food will always do it for me.

What are some of the things that help you get out of sucky mood?

Summer Beauty Secrets

Hey Boo's

I'm always changing my look and what perfect time to do so but in the summer. I've never been one to wear tons of make up but I am so fascinated with it. I'd go to the make up counters at department stores or Sephora and they'd tell me I have such good skin and that I don't need to use makeup. So they taught me some tricks to hide the few flaws I may have. So I've decided to share my Summer Beauty secrets with you guys on how I take care of my skin and also what products I use cover those flaws.

To cleanse my face which I do every night and every morning is the Olay Daily Facial deep cleansing cloths for combination/oily skin. Then I place a quarter size of Fuit of the Earth Aloe Vera Gel on any irritated skin areas. After that my skin get really dry so I dab on a thin layer of Monoi Miracle Oil from the Body Shop. Here are some pictures of those products below.

As for makeup the products I use for a super natural look is Mac Studio Finish Concealer with SPF 35 in shade NC50 under my eyes. I love love love mascara and since I have very little eyelashes I use LORAC Visual Effects mascara. The brush is like no other mascara brush. It has a multidimensional brush that latches and seperates each eye lash. And the must have for me in the summer becuase I have oily skin is Make Up Forever HD High Definition Powder which keeps my face from getting extra shiny. So that's about it. There are pictures of these products below.

So taking charge of caring for your skin and enhancing your beauty with as little makeup as possible.

Smooches!

Happy Birthday to Me!

Happy Birthday to Me!!!!

I know I'm super late but I been so busy training for my calendar. I had an amazing birthday. It began at the opening night at Madison Square Garden for Beyonce's I Am Tour. I was surprised with amazing seats that were very close. The next day I went to lunch with my mom and my cousin Jamia. It was a low key birthday but amazing in my eyes. I spent it with the people I love the most.

What was the most fun birthday memory you have?
